Over the past several months, Roanoke County’s Stormwater Advisory Committee hosted public meetings across the County and the Town of Vinton to discuss stormwater management issues and receive citizen input on how best to accommodate the new state and federal standards. This committee has been charged with developing and presenting recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning the County’s ongoing stormwater management program. At these February meetings, the Roanoke County staff and the consultant will present the Stormwater Advisory Committee (SWAC) draft recommendations for public consideration. The public will also have the opportunity to provide comments on the draft plan before the SWAC finalizes its recommendations to the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors.
